What is our Vision?

At the Institute for Workplace Psychosocial Health and Performance, we are committed to creating a world where every employee has the opportunity to thrive in workplace environments that foster psychosocial health, collaboration, respect, individual growth and performance.

Employees say the level of support that organizations offer for mental health and wellbeing is a top factor in their decision to leave or stay. Building and maintaining a psychosocial health workplace contribute to have a much better world and quality of life. Traditional approaches to managing workplace mental health have proven inadequate – a paradigm shift is needed.

  • To see workplaces across European industries and sectors prioritize and promote positive mental health and well-being, recognizing the crucial role that these factors play in employee satisfaction, engagement, and productivity.
  • To see stakeholders’ organizations, adopt evidence-based interventions and solutions to address psychosocial risks, including effective prevention, early intervention, and support programs for employees experiencing mental health challenges.
  • To see a shift in workplace culture towards greater empathy, understanding, and support for employees facing mental health challenges, reducing stigma and discrimination and increasing openness and dialogue around mental health.
  • To see workplaces, prioritize employee engagement and satisfaction, recognizing the positive impact of these factors on overall organizational performance and success.
  • Advocate for policy and legislative changes that promote workplace mental health and well-being, and that recognize the critical role of the workplace in supporting employee health and productivity.
  • Promote research and knowledge development in the field of workplace psychology and health, and translate research findings into practical tools and interventions that can be used by organizations to improve their workplace health and performance.
  • To contribute to creating continuous education and learning on Workplace Psychosocial Health and Performance through our academic and business specialists.

Luiza Banyai

Co-founder & Board member

Luiza Banyai is a co-founder of the Institute for Workplace Psychosocial Health and Performance and her expertise is the result of a deep understanding of business processes, organizations transformation and change, coupled with a strong HR consulting background & leadership skills, hands-on experience in taking companies to the next level and in-depth applied experience spanning over 4 generations (Z/X/Millennials/Boomers).

Luiza is a Member of the Romanian Council Board for Diversity Charter, a People Experience Strategist and a Business Transformation Advisor, with an extensive experience of over 25 years in various HR leadership roles for companies in Telecom, Pharma, BPO, IT, IT Software, Gaming, Manufacturing, Energy. His international experience: HR strategy, Company Digitalization, Diversity and Inclusion, Organizational Transformation Processes, Innovation & Change Management, Grow capabilities & Talent Management, Organizational (Re)Design & Development, Employer Branding, Rewards and Recognition, and Intergenerational effective communication.

Miro Turco

Board member & scientific director

Mirco Turco brings extensive capabilities to our team, with his deep knowledge in workplace and organizational psychology. He is a profiler, an international trainer in Body Language and Lie Detection, and has wide range of expertise in various other fields: human resources assessment and development, research, training and design, criminology, health psychology, sports psychology, and hypnosis. Mirco is an International Coder of the Facial Action Coding System by Ekman, Friesen, and Hager, and has followed specialist training in Investigative Psychology with international instructors from police special forces and the investigative sector. He has also obtained the titles of Criminal Investigation Expert, DNA Evidence Collector Specialist, and Crime Analyst.

Mirco offers a holistic approach to workplace well-being and he is dedicated to sharing knowledge.

He is an authority in multiple disciplines, including clinical and forensic hypnosis, psychoterapy, criminology, investigative psychology, neuro-linguistic programming, and nonverbal communication. As a member of the Copint Predictive Intelligence Committee and the Scientific Director of Forensics Group Italy, Mirco’s collaboration with public and private entities, as well as his experience as a lecturer and trainer, demonstrates his dedication to sharing knowledge.

He is also a lector and trainer at the Institute of Business Competitive Intelligence. With additional expertise in personal defense, security psychology, and a background as a former officer in the Italian Army, Mirco’s diverse skill set enriches our team. As  an accomplished writer, he has contributed to scientific articles in Applied Psychology and has authored several essays and books.
